Evaluation of Chest Pain (1.0 NCPD, 1.0 CME)
Objectives: Review high-risk and benign presentations of chest pain, develop diagnostic reasoning skills, and strengthen ECG interpretation across a range of scenarios.
- Describe the best practice work-up of emergent chest pain
- List the major causes of emergent chest pain
- Explain the useful tools in developing a working diagnosis while working through various emergent chest pain scenarios
- Explain some of the potential pitfalls in the evaluation of emergent chest pain
- Properly interpret signs of ischemia in a broad variety of ECG’s
