Tyler Price, MD serves as Avel eCare’s Medical Director for Emergency Services. In this role, he is responsible for maintaining Avel’s high level of quality care while connecting with customers and ensuring Avel continues to innovate and improve services. Also, overseeing the clinical team’s delivery of exceptional telemedicine support to more than 260 sites across the United States. Dr. Price has been an Emergency Medicine physician going on 13 years and has spent the last five years working at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Having grown up in rural North Dakota, Dr. Price has always been driven to deliver high quality care to rural populations. 

Dr. Price completed his medical education at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, ND, and his Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Dr. Price continues to serve on several committees at Avera including Emergency Medicine Steering Committee, ED Physician Review, and Patient and Staff Satisfaction Committee.
