About Deanna

Deanna Larson is the President of Avel eCare and has over twenty-five years of leadership experience within Avera Health’s integrated health system, based in Sioux Falls, S.D. For the past ten plus years, Deanna has expanded Avel eCare’s virtual health system to extend healthcare access to over 600 communities in 32 states, serving hospitals, clinics, long-term care communities, schools and directly to consumers.

With Larson’s strong vision and leadership, Avel eCare has transformed healthcare delivery by improving recruitment and retention of providers, increasing access to critical services, and enhancing the quality of care while decreasing costs. She has devoted her career to ensuring rural populations receive high quality care when and where its needed, saving lives and keeping care local. Larson’s experience includes multiple nursing leadership roles in the areas of acute care, critical care, behavioral health, long-term care, home care, and spent over 15 years as the VP of Quality Innovation for Avera Health. Larson holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
